Travel Nurse RN – PCU – $3,058 per week in Springfield, IL

Job Description

**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Specialty:** Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** Night 4×12-Hour (18:45 – 07:15)

**Guaranteed Hours:**

**Experience:** Minimum 1 year required

**License:** Must have active license in hand

**Certifications:** BLS and NIH required; ACLS preferred

**Must-Have:**
– Telemetry and Neuro Stepdown experience
– Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
– Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills

**Job Description:**
– Manage post-cardiac procedures including angiograms, cardiac catheterizations, and surgeries
– Administer and manage IV therapy, phlebotomy, and various line cares such as arterial lines, central lines, and PICC lines
– Conduct respiratory support such as care of ventilated patients, managing CPAP/BiPAP, and interpretation of ABGs
– Provide care for pre/post hemodialysis, renal failure, and feeding tube management
– Demonstrate skills in managing cardiac and vasoactive drips including titration
– Participate in care for neurological/psychiatric cases such as craniotomy and traumatic brain injuries
– Handle orthopedic cases including ortho trauma and total joint replacements
– Manage surgical drains and skin grafts for plastic surgery cases
– Implement isolation precautions and wound care using a wound vacuum
– Maintain flexibility to float within scope to meet facility needs
– Experience in teaching hospital and Level I trauma preferred
– Proficient in Cerner charting system
– Work every other weekend and accommodate holiday shifts as required

Note: Modules for non-clinical and clinical roles are required, completed virtually. Orientation consists of 16 non-billable hours. Completion of all compliance needs in a timely manner is critical.
