Job Description:

– Work in an inpatient rehab unit with 35 beds.
– Patient ratios range from 5-7:1.
– Unit is supported by techs per census, typically 2-4.
– Utilize equipment such as vitals machines, Baxter IV pumps, SCDs, and bladder scanners.
– Document using the Meditech system.
– Work 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend.
– Potential to float to other Med Surg departments.
– Preferences for candidates with rehab experience.
– Perform procedures including medication administration (IVs, PICC, PEG tube), bladder scans, trach care, tube feeding, Foley catheter management, bladder irrigation, and blood administration.
– Follow the dress code of navy blue or white solid scrubs.
– Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Physiatrists, Physician Assistants, and Neuropsychologists.
– Focus on impacting patient functional improvements and achieving patient goals for functional independence.
