**Job Title:** RN Acute Care Float – Nights
**Job Specialty:** RN Registered / Licensed – Inpatient
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Night, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, every other weekend; 2 major holidays, 2 minor holidays
**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified
**Experience:** Less than 1 year, completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisite clinical hours preferred
**License:** RN – Single State or Multi-State Compact
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
**Must-Have:** Ability to read, write, and speak English, basic computer skills, strong interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent time management and critical thinking skills
**Job Description:**
– Proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of care givers ensuring individualized high-quality, safe patient care.
– Practice in a clinical environment supported through a shared governance model.
– Perform the Nursing Process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
– Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics and cultural diversity.
– Partner with patients and significant others to align care plans with patient goals.
– Coordinate safe, quality patient care through effective communication and documentation methods.
– Collaborate in diverse, inclusive team environments and support professional care delivery models.
– Engage in performance improvement initiatives, nursing research, and the promotion of evidence-based practices.
– Serve as a preceptor or mentor for other nurses and staff, fostering a qualified workforce and healthy work environment.
– Uphold all healthcare system policies, procedures, and clinical competencies to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
– Proactively plan for patient care across the continuum and develop protocols to achieve best practice outcomes.
