Job Description

Job Title: RN-Med Surg

Location: Grand Junction,CO
Pay Range: $2000/week-$2650/week

Shift: 3*12 (Days)

Guarantee Hours: 36 hours
Start Date: Two weeks from the date of position offered.
Job Type: 13 weeks contract

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled RN Med Surg to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests and procedures, providing accurate results crucial for patient diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, and document patients’ vital signs and overall condition.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Coordinate patient discharge planning and follow-up care.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and facility standards.
  • Educate patients and their families on post-treatment care, medications, lifestyle changes, and prevention strategies.
  • Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions and initiate emergency interventions when necessary.
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice (or compact state license if applicable).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be preferred or required depending on the facility.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of recent experience in a Medical-Surgical nursing setting is often preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and medical equipment.

Required:
Minimum 1 years experience – required.
Active BLS – required.

CO State/Compact State RN License – Required
