Experience: Minimum of 3 years; Traveler experience required, first-time travelers not accepted
License: Required to be in hand at time of start
Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, Telemetry preferred
Must-Have:
– Minimum of 1 year Med/Surg experience
– EKG testing pass prior to start
– Required skills and certifications
Job Description:
– Candidates will float across all medical/surgical floors.
– Weekend work is required every other weekend.
– Participation in Storm Team or Hurricane Team with potential reporting during catastrophic events, mass casualty, or disaster.
– Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid-contract may occur with possible pre-assignment to units as needed.
– Care for patients with COVID may be required; ratios may increase during times of high census.
– Patient diagnoses include those held in the Emergency Department needing inpatient care.
– Utilize systems such as PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.
– Shift scheduling based on identified gaps.
– Scrubs color: Navy.
– Orientation involves 24 hours over 2 shifts.
– Completion of non-billable modules ranging from 8-10 hours required pre-start or annually, depending on specialty.
