Travel Nurse RN – Med/Surg – $1,840 per week in Petersburg, WV

Description: Unit : Med Surg | RN- # Beds: 18- Nurse/Patient Ratios: 1:06- Required certifications: BLS- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: COPD, CHF, Total joints, Hysters, general post ops.- Experience: Must have at least 1 year experience, prefer to have travel experience. Will train travelers on things they are unfamiliar with.- Are RNs required to titrate drips: No drips.- Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit: Tele on the unit. SCU RN monitors and reads strips.- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Charge available for all shifts- Day shift designated charge, Nights one of the 3 nurses are assigned charge as well as patients. House supervisor available.- Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: 1:6-1:9 depending on staffing.- RT Equipment: CPAP, BiPAP if established at home.- Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hours 7-7. Will try to work with requests, scheduler does schedule try to give one generous block of time once a month.- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend- Fri, Sat, Sun.- Holiday Requirement: Rotate with perm staff.- Is there Call or a Standby requirement?: No- Floating Requirements?: No- Scrub Color/Dress Code: No specific scrub color- Unit/Department specific orientation: Day 1 get a feel for the unit/requirements, then 2- 12 hour shifts.
